I used the adorable new Doodle Garden Sweet Friend stamp set for today's card. This sketch is a nice simple one, but I still felt the need to flip it upside down. :-)
I started with a card base of Whip Cream then added layers of Kraft and Orange Fizz card stocks. I ran the orange layer through my modern wallpaper embossing folder before stitching the layers together. For the sentiment I combined two sentiments from the set and stamped them with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink onto a Whip Cream piece that I cut out using the Chat Bubbles Die-namics.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It Blending Card then coloured her with copic markers and fussy cut around her. I used the Oval 1 STAX and Oval 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the Hot Fudge and patterned paper layers. I ran the patterned paper (from the Echo Park Sweet Day collection) through my seeing spots embossing folder for a little extra texture.
On the inside I used one of the sentiments from this month's Triple Scoop set, You Make My Day. This is a perfect card to send to one of my "internet-turned-real-life" friends.
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC106. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!
