I decided to ink up Fred Bear Oopsie Daisies this week. He's just so cute, I can't believe I don't ink him up more often!
I used patterned paper from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh collection. One of the pieces has the chevron quilt pattern on it so I just used my scissors to cut it out. I really like how the Red Hot card stock pops against the Kraft background and that chevron layer. The Sentiment Strips Die-namics was perfect for the word "friend" which I isolated from a longer sentiment in the set (it's on the inside) by inking it with a black SU marker.
Fred is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copic markers using the "dotting" method. That's a very scientific name for dotting on the colour instead of applying it with brush strokes. LOL! I used the Rectangles 2 STAX Die-namics to cut out the image panel.
For the flower I used the Upsy Daisy Die-namics to cut out both the patterned paper and the two solid navy layers. Then I topped it with a Red Hot button. I used the Woodgrain Fence Die-namics to cut out the white picket fence and tucked it behind the image panel.
On the inside you'll see the sentiment at the top is where I got the word "friend" from for the flag on the front. Then I used the Ticket Tab Die-namics to cut out the Kraft tab so I could stamp the second part of the sentiment near the bottom of the card.
Here are all the sketchy details:
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC81. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Here are the Die-namics I used:
