Today is a special post because My Favorite Things and Buttons Galore and More have teamed up for a fun blog hop featuring products from both companies. The great thing is, there are four $25 prizes up for grabs, so you have four chances to win, just by leaving comments. You have until July 29th to comment and the winners of all four prizes will be announced on both the MFT Blog and the Buttons Galore and More blog. When you're done reading here, hop over to the MFT Blog for a full list of participating designers.
I made a birthday card to add to my stash, using the sweet Pure Innocence My Balloon. I haven't used this image in soooooo long, she was just calling my name. The layout is Mojo249.
I started out by choosing the patterned paper, Echo Park A Walk in the Park, then I matched up some buttons from Buttons Galore and More. They really have a wide range of buttons, brads and more.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black then coloured her with copic markers. I paper pieced her sweet jumper and accented it with an orange Spica glitter pen. The image was cut out using the Rectangle 2 STAX Die-namics and I cut out the Orange Fizz layer with the Rectangle 1 STAX Die-namics. The Sentiment Strips Die-namics was perfect for the sentiment then I added a big, shiny Waterfall button for the balloon. You can also see that I used the Small Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the yellow strip then topped it with some Whip Cream grosgrain ribbon.
In keeping with the sketch, I added three more buttons at the bottom of the card, two Sunflower buttons and another Waterfall button.
Here are the Die-namics I used:
