Today is dubbed American Heartland day with Green Acres, Uncle Sam, 4th of July Wreath and the chicken wire/woodgrain impression plate.

Let's start with Green Acres, a super cute farm themed set illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line. This is a full sized set of 24 stamps on a 5.5" x 8" full colour sturdy storage panel. You'll be able to create fun and humourous cards with the sentiments in this set!!

I used the tractor and bird images, stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black onto choice buttercream and coloured them with copics. Then I cut out the image with square Nestabilities and stitched around the edges.

Do you see the texture on the blue layers? I did that with the amazing new Chicken Wire/Woodgrain Impression Plate. One side of the plate has the chicken wire pattern and the other side has the woodgrain pattern, so it's like getting two fabulous patterns in one! The patterned gingham paper is from my October Afternoon Farm Fresh pad...an oldie but a goodie!! I used my grass border punch on the strip of green and finished it with some brown twill. The layout is Mojo193.

Next I used the 4th of July Wreath set, illustrated by Nancy McKinney, and this is the 5th set in our wreath series.  I paired it with the cottage image from A Day In Paradise.

I knew I wanted to use the bunting image and the picket fence die seemed like a perfect backdrop. I just love the simplicity of this card and how the fence pops on the kraft background! I have a little tip for the fence though. When I first cut out the bunting and the fence I realized the fence was too short.

So I cut out another fence, cut off the top of the pickets, then layered the fences one on top of the other to create a taller fence.

Have fun hopping around as you check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen creations!
