These are the same square tins we used at Joanne's class. I covered mine with some Be Merry paper from MME, and filled the tins with Ghirardelli squares...yummy!!! Each tin holds 6 squares.
But, I also had a couple of gift cards to give to these specific people (the family stylists...aka...my hair dresser and the dog's groomer!). Let me tell you, the colours on the Dunkin Donuts gift cards just did NOT go with my project. So I created a little 'wrap' for the gift card.
The baja blue cardstock wrap measures 7" x 4.5". It's scored at 2.25" and 5.25", then the long way at .5" for the bottom flap. Cut away the two small rectangles on the ends, leaving the small middle flap to enclose the GC. Adhere it together with Sticky Strip then slip in your GC.
To finish it off, I wrapped around a 2" wide piece of patterned paper, then inked a chipboard snowflake with Ridinghood Red. On one of them I added a Martha snowflake punch under the button. The white string is just cotton butcher's thread.
To make sure the gift card doesn't fall out, I punched right through the holder and threaded it onto the ribbon. They'll have to untie the ribbon to get the GC out.
Off to make a few more of these.
Thanks for stopping by!
Karen
