Sweet Sunday Holiday Hugs

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC217.

For this week's sketch I went with a Christmas card. #4 for Project Christmas 2014. Gosh, at this rate I'm going to need to really trim my card list. LOL!

I used Holiday Hugs Snowman from MFT. I love doing the "white snowman on kraft" technique (and that's the official name I'm calling this technique). LOL! Basically, I stamped the snowman onto Kraft using black ink, then I stamped the snowman again onto white, coloured him and cut him out. I adhered him directly over the Kraft snowman so his arms line up. Fun!

I wanted it to look like it was snowing so I embossed the circle with my swiss dots embossing folder. Then I inked the raised dots with Sweet Tooth pigment ink. It doesn't really show up in the photo but it looks great in real life!

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Mother's Day

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC216.
As I was typing this post I realized that it's Easter Sunday. So Happy Easter!!! But I didn't have the forethought to create an Easter card. Instead I'm working ahead and made a Mother's Day card.

I received a few goodies from My Favorite Things and I couldn't wait to dig into the gorgeous Gerbera Daisy Die-namics.
I chose the colours for my card based on the MFT April Colour Palette Challenge. The pink is perfect for this gorgeous flower!
I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Sunshine

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC215.

I created a cheery card to match the sunny weather we've been having this weekend…finally!

I completely flipped the sketch upside down to work with the image from Sunflower Sweetheart, so she'd be looking into the card. She became the rectangle element on the card and the star accent is the talk bubble sentiment.

There are lots of possibilities with this sketch. I hope you'll play along and link your card on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
