Heart of Chocolate

I'm playing along with this week's Bellariffic Friday challenge which was a sketch. Fun!!

I don't usually create too many Valentine cards but Uptown Girl Catherine Nibbling Chocolate spoke to me for this sketch. I just realized I technically flipped the sketch, because I wanted the telephone in the patterned paper going in the proper direction.

I had fun paper piecing her dress with one of the patterns from the Echo Park Love Story collection and you probably can't see the sparkle on her shoe and the black ruffle of her dress, but I coloured them with a black Spica glitter pen.

Hop over to Bloggabella to see this week's participants and to get the next challenge!

Sweet Sunday Birthday (again)

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC204.

I was tempted to make a Christmas card given all the snow we've been getting lately, but instead I used this week's sketch to create another quick and easy masculine birthday card. The first few months of the year in my family are "boy birthdays" and this card is going to my oldest brother.

The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings. It's not the most masculine looking sentiment but I think the three strips of boyish patterned paper (from the My Mind's Eye Fly a Kite collection) help give it a more masculine feel.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Guess Who Loves You?

I'm playing along with this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 160. I can't believe I've already missed the first couple of sketches of the year. But the good thing is I'm jumping in now and it's never too late. :-)

I received some new goodies from the January release and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. Love it when that happens!!!

Pure Innocence Guess Who Loves You looks super cute in the largest of the Precious Polaroids Die-namics. Can you see her sparkly red glasses and the shiny lenses? The tiny Blu Raspberry heart is from the Layered Heart Border.

Hop over to the MFT Blog for all the sketchy details.
