Today is all about hearts with the new Lisa Johnson Designs sets Homespun Hearts and Hearts and Stitches. The new Rustic Hearts Die-namics coordinate perfectly with the hearts in Homespun Hearts.
I created a clean and simple card using these new products, and the layout is FTL221.
I started with a base of Whip Cream cardstock then added a layer of Bubblegum and Kraft. I stamped the stitches from Hearts and Stitches with Versamagic Cloud White ink all around the edges of the Kraft layer. Next I used the small heart background stamp, also from Hearts and Stitches, to stamp the three rows of hearts. The stamp is longer than what you see on my card but I didn't want the hearts to overlap the stitching, so I simply masked the sides of the Kraft layer using two post-it notes. Once the white ink was dry I stamped the sentiment from Homespun Hearts with Memento Tuxedo Black. In hindsight I probably should have used black embossing powder to make it stand out a little more. Doh!
I used the Rustic Hearts Die-namics to cut out three hearts from Bubblegum and Wild Cherry card stocks, then I stamped them with the coordinating stamp from Homespun Hearts. I used MFT Wild Cherry Ink to stamp on the pink heart and Versamagic Cloud White to stamp on the two red hearts. I placed foam tape under the pink heart for a little dimension and finished it with a Berrylicious button tied with Hemp Cord.
On the inside I combined more stamps from Homespun Hearts to created the little scene.
