This week's sketch has lots of layers, but don't let that scare you away. I decided to make a pretty birthday card using Finishing Flourishes.
When I looked at the white rectangle and flag, I saw a tag with a ribbon. So I used the Traditional Tags STAX Die-namics to create the sentiment panel. The patterned papers are from the Teresa Collins Linen paper pad and I never would have thought to pair Kraft with Steel Grey, but it totally works! I used the Small Scallop Border Die-namics to cut out the little scallop layer on the tag then I threaded some Steel Grey grosgrain ribbon through a big eyelet and tied a Hemp Cord bow.
For the flower I used the Botanical Beauty Die-namics and cut the larger layer from Whip Cream felt. I backed it with Whip Cream card stock though so I'd be able the curl the petals a little.
On the inside I stamped a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Birthdays and added some flourishes from Finishing Flourishes, stamped in Memento Toffee Crunch.
Here are the Sketchy details:
There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC93. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!
