Be Yourself

Welcome to day three of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!!

Today is all about sentiment sets and I decided to work with Clearly Sentimental about Art. I adore the mix of fonts in this set and the sayings are so wonderful!!!

Best of all, Clearly Sentiment about Art is the Triple Scoop set for this release. What does that mean? You get the set for FREE with a qualifying $60 order, just remember to add it to your shopping cart.

In addition to this fabulous stamp set all about art, there's a gorgeous Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics die...swoon!!!!

I let the Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics take center stage, complimented with one of the sentiments from Clearly Sentimental about Art. I cut out the palette from Fossil card stock then ran it through an embossing folder for a little texture. I cut out the brush from cream card stock then coloured it with copic markers for a more realistic look, and the "paint" was cut out of patterned papers (it's an older line of My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary). I covered the "paint" with a coat of clear glaze pen to give it a wet look.

I used the Rectangle STAX 1 and Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics dies to cut out the layers under the palette then stitched around the edges. The dark pink layer is Razzleberry card stock, which gives a nice pop of bright pink and the sentiment was stamped onto Pink Lemonade card stock. I added a simple pink sorbet twine bow to finish the card.

I love the way you chose to make the paint splotches out of patterned papers instead of solids... it's like we get to see the finished product the raw materials will eventually become, before any color has left the palette, before a brush has been put to canvas or paper. ;)
