I decided to work with the Christmas Ornaments stamp and die-namics set. I had this idea in my head as soon as I saw the die-namics and I'm quite pleased that it came to fruition just as I'd imagined. I kept the layout super simple and used the FTL163 sketch.

The dimension on these ornaments is fabulous but the best part is they'll fold down flat for mailing (no extra postage...yay!). And they were super easy to make too. For each ornament I cut out four of the same ornament, then just folded them in half, adhered the sides together, and stuck them to the card base. Then I stamped the hanging string and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black and added black rhinestones to the string for a little sparkle. I finished the ornaments with a kraft hanger and three tiny twine bows. The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly.

It's Pure Innocence day and there are soooooo many little cuties this month! I wanted to use them all, but had to make a tough decision and choose, so I decided to work with Pure Innocence Holiday Hugs Snowman.

I adore snowmen...so much so that I have a snowman collection that I decorate the house with at Christmas. Plus I love using snowmen on cards because they're so quick to colour!

I stamped him twice so I could cut out his hat and pop it for dimension. Let's talk about the greens I used on his hat...it was an experiment to get the right shade and I just kept layering on colours until it looked right. The YG13 & YG25 combo was too bright, the others were too somber, but when I layered them all together they were just right.

Do you spy a new die-namic? That would be the new Icicle Border die-namic...definitely a must-have for winter projects. I also added a snowflake cut out with the medium size of the let it snowflake die-namics. Oh, and the patterned paper is Echo Park Season's Greetings.

On the inside I stamped the snowman again in light blue and added another sentiment from the set.

Sweet Sunday Knitting

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC141.

I'm showcasing another of the new à la modes from MFT, à la mode - Knit Happens. I'm not a knitter, but I just love this sweet image with her warm toque.

As you can see, I flipped the sketch. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with copic markers. Her sweater is paper pieced with one of the patterns from the Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder mini pad.

I cheated the sketch just a little by using the ticket tab die-namic in the top left corner instead of a rectangle of card stock, then I just couldn't get that little scallop piece at the bottom to look right unless I ran it right across the card. I used the small scallop border die-namic to cut out the green piece and added a lush red felt flower which I created with the new Loopy Bloom die-namic.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. I'm the other Sweet Sunday Stampers followed the sketch a little more closely than I did so why don't we hop around and find out!

MFTeaser - à la mode Disco Queen

Welcome to day five of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

It's à la mode day and I've used à la mode Disco Queen...FUN!!!! Love that disco ball she's holding and the dancing pose. It totally reminds me of the song Staying Alive...now it's stuck in my head.

I paper pieced her dress with a fun retro pattern from the Authentique Blush & Delight paper pad and I couldn't resist giving her some pink patent boots. I coloured the disco ball with a stardust glitter pen for lots of sparkle. The layout is the Clean & Simple sketch, FTL162.

The new Crown Border die-namic and Peace Sign die-namic are perfect accents on this card, along with some charcoal twine.

I used the smaller peace sign die-namic on the inside.

Sweet Little Onesie

Today I have an adorable little baby girl card that I made with my favourite onesie stamp from the Hangin' Out set, available at Taylored Expressions.

I love paper piecing this little onesie so that's exactly what I did. The patterned paper is from the Dwell 6x6 paper pad by My Mind's Eye. I added in some choice buttercream and kraft card stock to round out the colour palette. I used my medium scallop border die to cut the cream strip then crinkled up some light pink seam binding for a girlie accent. Clear Twinkles add just the right amount of sparkle around the image and the petite roses finish off the girlie accents nicely.

I added a sweet little sentiment from the set to the inside:

MFTeaser - Vintage Cameo

Welcome to day four of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers.

Today you'll see samples using Christmas Ornaments stamps and die-namics set and Vintage Cameo stamps and die-namics set.

I worked with Vintage Cameo, along with the new Loopy Bloom die-namic and the new Crown Border die-namic. I also used the fancy flourish to accent the flower and I love how it works with the swirl background.

I stamped the cameo image with black pigment ink and embossed it with black powder then I stamped the sentiment on vellum. The sentiment panel is cut out using one of the dies from the sweet stack die-namics. The patterned papers are from the Authentique Journey collection and I used a piece of denim for the fun loopy bloom. The layout is CPS131 from a while back.

MFTeaser - Clearly Sentimental about Christmas

Welcome to day three of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers.

Today I'm showcasing this month's Triple Scoop set, which receive absolutely free with a $60 order!!! You'll also see samples today using last months Triple Scoop set, Clearly Sentimental About Abundance.

I went with a vintage feel for this card and chose papers from the Signature Christmas 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye. I inked the edges of all the layers with Antique Linen distress ink then did plenty of distressing along the edges. I combined the new Clearly Sentimental Label die-namic with the layered label die-namics for the sentiment panel and added a blue strip of icicles, cut out with the new Icicle Border die-namic.

I kept the inside very simple, stamping another sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Christmas.

MFTeaser - Inspired By Christmas

Welcome to day two of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!!!

Today I'm showcasing the gorgeous Inspired by Christmas set. The images in this set can be stamped in colour, like I've done, or you can stamp them in black and add colour with copic markers or pencils.

I used the CPS241 sketch because MFT is sponsoring the sketch this week...woo hoo!! The decorative doily duo die-namic cut out the perfect red backdrop to highlight the gorgeous bunch of bells, which I stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stock onto patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly 6x6 pad. I added a few little pearl accents but kept this card quite simple to showcase the image.

I stamped another of the images and sentiments from Inspired by Christmas on the inside and added a border cut out with the new Wonky Scallop Border die-namic.

Birthday Girl {MFTWSC43}

It's time to get sketchy with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club and sketch 43.

My post today is doing double duty as a sketch sample, but more importantly, it's my birthday card for fellow MFT design team member Joanne!!! It's her birthday today, so be sure to pop over and leave her some big birthday wishes. Happy Birthday Joanne!!!

I pulled out the fun à la mode Birthday Girl and papers from the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Market Street 6x6 pad.

I started by stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto cream card stock, then I coloured her with copics. I added three tiny rhinestones for her necklace...love that bit of bling. I used the Prima Donna petals die-namics to create the flower element and stamped the sentiment onto paper cut out using the dog tag die-namic. For the horizontal strip I used the double scallop border die-namic and a piece of kraft ribbon.

Here are all the sketchy details:

There's a prize each week for one participant, chosen at random. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week a keyword is assigned to the sketch, and this week's keyword is MFTWSC43. All you need to do to enter is upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast and enter the given keyword in the keyword box during the upload process. After the deadline (noon Eastern on Tuesday) we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Be sure to head over to Kim's Blog to view the entire list of design team participants...there's plenty of inspiration for you with today’s sketch!

Have a super fabulous day Joanne!
