I didn't mean to roll so many challenges into one card but it worked out perfectly so I went with it. I started out first deciding to use Karen G's sketch challenge and I knew the cute gingerbread house from Home Sweet Home (which is currently out of stock at the TE Store) would be perfect. Then I used Jodi's colour challenge, Prism Intense Teal, Sunflowers Medium, Rose Medium. I paper pieced the entire house so that qualified for Donna's paper piecing challenge, and added white accents to the candy canes and around the windows and door with my white gel pen. Then I fished through my bag of Whirligig buttons to decorate the roof so that qualified for Sankari's button challenge. I added white liquid applique to the roof and dusted it with glitter before heat setting it. I also used my clear Glaze pen to make the windows look like glass, added a white candy dot for the door handle, and used my Stardust Gelly Roll pen for the dots on the gumdrops.
The card base is 5.25 inches square. I layered some Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly patterned paper onto Intense Teal and stitched all around, then I stitched the Sunflowers Medium strip to the base and all that stitching qualified for Jackie's stitching challenge. Oh, and this is also my Christmas card for this week, but I think it's one I'll have to hand deliver cause it's kinda bulky with all those buttons. :)
So there you have it...one card, five challenges...wow! Are you playing along? Come join the fun! You have until Wednesday, September 9th at midnight PST to link your projects to their respective challenges on the Stamp A Sweet Impression blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
Karen
