Sweet Sunday Ramona

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC208.

Can I just say how much I'm loving that we are back to weekly Sweet Sunday Sketches!!! Is anyone else with me on that?

There are some tilted panels on this week's sketch. Eeeeks!! I kinda cheated just slightly, but I still tilted my image, although I did use the mirror image of the sketch. I just couldn't have sweet Ramona Love Cake (from Stamping Bella) facing the outside of the card! Then I had to add some enamel dots in the top left corner because I felt like she needed something to be looking at.

I fussy cut around the image and popped it on foam tape for dimension.

The sentiment that is included with the image is narrow so I beefed it up with a row of bling. I've had that polka dot patterned paper for years now…it's an old My Mind's Eye line from before they made 6x6 pads…like centuries ago! LOL!!! I think that line is still, to this day, my very favourite collection of patterned papers. I adore the colours!!!

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers have created.

Sweet Sunday Birthday

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC207

Surprise, surprise…I created yet another birthday card. This one is already in the mail to my Mom. Her birthstone is an amethyst so I went with a purple flower.

I just love all the white space on this card, but I added a sprinkling of sequins for a little sparkle. The sentiment is from Just My Type.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's Blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.

Sweet Sunday Happy Birthday

It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, SSSC206.

I love the main circle on this sketch. Well frankly, I love just about any circle on a sketch, and I used this week's sketch to create a birthday card for a sweet friend who celebrated yesterday. Happy Birthday Lisa!!!

Pure Innocence Birthday Princess was a perfect choice and I paper pieced her dress and crown with patterns from the Fancy Pants Wonderful Day collection. I added sparkle to the heart and the candle flames with my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen. I mounted her on foam tape for a little dimension.

For the flag accent I used the Mix and Match Banner Die-namics but I trimmed the sides because it was a little wider than I wanted. The dots in the background were stamped using Natural ink on Kraft card stock and I love the subtle look.

On the inside I added a sentiment from Birthday Greetings and another strip of patterned paper.

I hope you'll play along with this week's sketch and link your creation on Karen's blog. Now it's time to hop around and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers created.
