MFTeaser - Happy Easter

Welcome to day seven of seven fabulous days of MFT teasers!

Today is all about the new Die-namics, although I couldn't resist using a few new stamps too.

I created a sweet Easter treat basket and coordinating note card.

Let's start with the basket shall we? I used the Woven Basket Die-namics to cut out two baskets from Natural card stock then I brayered over them with Kraft Premium Dye Ink to help highlight the impressed lines of the basket. The Trapezoid Treat Basket Die-namics works perfectly with the shape and size of the Woven Basket Die-namics to create a little 3D treat container. Check out THIS VIDEO on how to assemble the Trapezoid Treat Basket Die-namics.

I thought Pure Innocence Bunny Ears was perfect with the basket so I inked her up and stamped her onto X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured her with copic markers and paper pieced her hat and bodysuit with one of the patterns from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection. I added some sparkle to her tail and shoes with some Star Dust Stickles.

Next I broke out the Embellished Eggs stamp set and coordinating Easter Elements Die-namics. I cut out the flowers from X-Press It Blending Card and stamped them with Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink and Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink. The leaves (which double as the wings for the birds in this set) were cut out of Sour Apple cardstock and stamped with Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink.

I added a Pink Lemonade button tied with Hemp Cord to the largest flower and scattered the smaller flowers around the handle.

The notecard I created measures 4 1/4" square. The clean design was inspired by the Clean and Simple Cardmaking 2 class I'm taking from Online Card Classes. I left plenty of 'white space'.

The base is Sweet Tooth then I added a layer of Sour Apple and Natural cardstock. I used the Squiggle Border Die-namics to cut out the Grape Jelly strip and stamped the sentiment from Embellished Eggs with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. The flower is the same as on the basket except I created a loopy bow underneath it for a little texture. You can find my Loopy Hemp Cord Bow Tutorial here.
